Does LinkedIn Think You'll Forget Who You Are?

Can someone tell me why LinkedIn puts a little arrow that says YOU next to your own name when it appears on the list of someone else's connections?

Do they think that after scrolling past all those other names, you won't recognize your own when you get to it?

And then what ? You'll send yourself and invitation to connect on LinkedIn?
You'll offer yourself a job?
