Celebrate Jewish life and Israel@60 with arts workshops, concerts, special events
by Lila Hanft, Cleveland Jewish News, 04/04/08
If last year’s event is any indication, The Temple-Tifereth Israel’s Beachwood campus will be buzzing with activity the weekend of April 11-13.
Like its inaugural festival, FestAviv ’08 shows every sign of being a whirlwind of concerts, special events and innovative workshops.
The theme of this year’s FestAviv (Hebrew for “springfest”) is Israel@60. More than 35 events and workshops will explore facets of Jews life in general -- and Israeli history in particular — through a range of creative art forms including literature, dance, music, relief printmaking, papermaking, theater, film and cooking.
